David Kaiser

David Kaiser is a retired music educator and veteran adjudicator with 35 years of band-directing experience in Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio. Working primarily with students in grades 5–12, he led programs active with marching band, concert bands, and jazz ensembles.

David currently serves as Executive Director of the Central States Judges Association. A member of CSJA for more than two decades and an inductee into its Hall of Fame, he previously served seven years as the association’s Music Caption Head. He has also represented CSJA internationally at Drum Corps Guatemala.

David serves as Winds Judge Administrator for the Mid East Performance Association and has adjudicated WGI Winds in Music Analysis, indoor winds competitions, marching band contests, and concert festivals. He has also served the Ohio Music Education Association as Jazz Chair on its Adjudicated Events Committee and as Jazz Chair for OMEA Districts 13 and 14.

In addition to adjudicating, David remains active as a clinician, consultant, and mentor to marching bands and wind ensembles. He currently resides in Venice, Florida, where he serves as president of the Venice Concert Band and as an instructor for the Venice Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Camp.
